Fuel Monitoring

See the litres in the tank, not an estimate

A calibrated fuel-level sensor reads the tank at the source, so fills and consumption are recorded — not guessed — and mismatches are easy to spot.

Overview

Fuel is one of the largest costs a fleet carries, and receipts alone rarely tell the whole story. FleetCrest fuel monitoring uses a calibrated fuel-level sensor fitted to the tank, so you see the actual litres on board, when the tank was filled and when it dropped — measured at the source rather than estimated from distance.

A fuel level sensor in Kenya has to be calibrated to each tank to be accurate, which is why calibration is part of every fuel-sensor installation. Once fitted, the app shows live tank level, fuel charts over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, and flags fills that do not match the kilometres driven.

Why fleets use it

  • See the litres actually in the tank, not a guess from mileage.
  • Spot a fill you paid for that never reached the tank.
  • Get told when fuel drops suddenly between stops.

What you get

Every line below is something the product does today.

  • Live tank level from calibrated fuel sensorsA sensor calibrated to your tank shows the litres on board right now, not a figure worked back from mileage.
  • 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day fuel chartsSee consumption and fills over time, so patterns and sudden drops stand out.
  • Fuel receipts and cost logged per vehicleRecord each fill and its cost against the vehicle, building a clear fuel-spend history.
  • Receipts plotted against the tank levelEvery receipt is shown against the measured tank level, so a fill that never reached the tank is visible at a glance.
  • Sensor health checksThe app watches each sensor’s calibration, signal and battery, so you can trust the readings.
  • Refuel and fuel-drop detection, with receipt checksSensor-based detection flags refuels and drops, and checks fills that do not match the kilometres driven.

How it works

  1. 01

    We assess your tanks

We check your vehicles and tanks and recommend the right fuel-level sensor for each.

  2. 02

    Fit and calibrate

Our installers fit and calibrate each sensor to its own tank — calibration is what makes the readings accurate — usually within a day.

  3. 03

    You see every litre

Open the app for live tank level, fuel charts and receipts plotted against the measured level.

  4. 04

    Catch the gaps

Refuel and drop alerts, plus receipt checks, surface fuel that does not add up so you can act.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is a fuel level sensor in Kenya?
Each sensor is calibrated to its own tank and typically reads within a few litres. Accuracy depends on tank size and shape and on the quality of the calibration, which is why calibration is part of every fuel-sensor installation.
What does fuel monitoring actually show me?
Live tank level, fuel charts over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, each fill and its cost, and receipts plotted against the measured tank level — plus refuel and fuel-drop detection.
Can it catch fuel that was paid for but not delivered?
Because each receipt is shown against the measured tank level, a fill that never reached the tank stands out. Receipt checks also flag fills that do not match the kilometres driven.
Which vehicles can take a fuel sensor?
Fuel sensors suit trucks, buses, machinery and other vehicles with accessible tanks. We assess each tank first and recommend the right sensor.
Does fuel monitoring include tracking too?
Yes. The Tracking + Fuel Monitoring plan includes everything in GPS tracking and fleet management, plus the calibrated fuel sensor and fuel charts. See the pricing page for details.
