Every tracker is fitted and tested by our own trained installers, and most vehicles are live on the app within a day. Does GPS tracking work for car tracking in Nairobi and upcountry?
Yes. FleetCrest works anywhere there is mobile network coverage across Kenya, in Nairobi and upcountry alike. Each tracker uses its own SIM, so your car reports its position wherever it goes.
Can I track a matatu or a motorbike?
Yes. We track cars, vans, trucks, buses and matatus, motorbikes and machinery. Matatu tracking and boda tracking use the same live map, trip history and alerts.
Can a driver disable the tracker?
If a tracker is disconnected or interfered with, FleetCrest raises a power-disconnect or tamper alert so you know straight away, and an offline alert flags a device that stops reporting. A trained installer fits every device.
What is a vehicle immobiliser and is it safe?
A vehicle immobiliser is a relay fitted to the vehicle that lets an authorised person on your account stop the engine. It is built around safety: it never triggers automatically, never cuts a vehicle that is moving, waits until the vehicle is confirmed stationary, gives a short warning, and restoring the engine is immediate. Every step is logged.
How soon can I see my vehicle after installation?
Most vehicles are fitted, tested and live on the app within a day. You can open the app and see live location, trips and alerts immediately.
